wiim home android 3.0.8

I also notice when I’m browsing my USB drive by folder, the three dot menu on all but the topmost level gives options to rescan my music server and “switched to advanced mode” which currently does nothing. Wonder what that is?

"""calibrations""" good word? not juste multi mesureaments for "rc" ?
You're right, "calibrations" is actually not a good wording. But I'm willing to overlokk that for now if it adds Toma better result.

So far I didn't have the time to find out if this is beta functionality of the app and will work straight away or if it might need a beta firmware release. Anyway, this is certainly nthe way to go.

Hi Harkpabst,

This multiple measurements feature does not need to be released in beta firmware. You can use this feature after enabling this option.

There will be more to come. Calibration files soon hopefully. We can live without autogain for a little while longer by putting the filter details into REW. We can't do anything about mic inaccuracies 😃
by going through third-party software... certainly but for the very general public..not the subject...... but otherwise we are talking about distortion by saturations etc.
the imprecision of external microphones like Dayton UmiK is relative and at worst will just offer a slightly degraded result..very little if we use fairly reduced bandwidths which are moreover more relevant...

either the managers have not yet understood what is at stake in terms of gains in gec pec and rc.. or it is too technically difficult for them...
?

ps for like 2 and a half years that I have not stopped a little ridiculously recalling this basics...it is not for me...because I know how to do without... and I pointed out that I had arrived in "rc" mode, the standard function of cal mic and the dayton.. It's been a long time too.

True but then do we also need autogain when someone uses the 10 band Graphic EQ?

yes
or to do manually, not too hard, at the limiter... the peq/rc modes, it's more complex
what's great is that over the years the situation is more ridiculous for wiim...but me who is becoming more and more so...hihi
primary function..
(a bit like the need for mathematical rigor in the graphic appearance of the correction window)

Hi Slartibartfast,

We have identified the root cause of the issue. The microphone name is currently displayed only during tuning, which was a mistake. This will be corrected in the app update scheduled for release this week.
OK great, I didn't get as far as actually starting the tuning 🤣

autogain...(n)
crazy...
Hi Slartibartfast and canard.

We’re completing the algorithm for room correction using calibration files and will soon begin developing the calibration file import feature in our app. Stay tuned!
