Ended up with an Ultra for my home office set up as there was no ProPlus in stock and was offered it for only £260 new!
Driving into a Rega Brio into my Dali Opticon 2s, a budget system with a brilliant sound !

Nice! How does this Rega Brio sound? Do you have something to compare it to? I've been looking for a silky smooth sounding amplifier while still being very detailed, clear in the mids/highs (with that sparkle without sounding harsh) to match perfectly with my Wiim Ultra, Chord 2Qute dac and Dali Ikon 1 mk2 speakers.
Currently running a NAD C356BEE amplifier and the sound is pretty good for my taste. Overall the sound is balanced but maybe could use a little silky smooth creamy touch to top it off. I have been hearing so many good things about the Rega Brio (not sounding thin etc.) so maybe it would be a better choice for me. It keeps me curious haha. Also tried a Hegel H80 but i did not like it that much (at least not together with the rest of my setup). Also did not sound as powerful/dynamic as my NAD C356BEE. Maybe i expected too much from the brand Hegel.
The Brio was very very smooth. Less dynamic than I like however.
Was a bit smudged. Didn’t really work in my home office near field.
And was offered a great deal on NAIT 50.
So I changed it.
The NAIT 50, ultra, Opticon 2 combo is superb.
