Hello,

Since yesterday my ultra loses ethernet connection. Everything had been working perfectly since day one. It is plugged into an ethernet hub which is itself connected to a cpl. All the other devices plugged into the hub have a perfect ethernet connection. I tried the factory reset - no effect! It only finds the wifi connection. I'm lost...

Hi,

Try pulling the power cord out of the ultra for a minute or so.
What happens if you switch connections with one of the other devices on the hub?
Send feedback to wiim via the app.

Hello,

Already done unfortunately. I sent a message to the technical department.

their funny answer: To assist us in investigating and resolving this issue more efficiently, we recommend connecting your WiiM device to an Ethernet cable. Then, please send us new feedback through the WiiM Home app by navigating to the More tab > Feedback.

It's precisely the ethernet connection that no longer works!

I think what they are saying is that they want the logs from immediately after the ethernet cable is plugged in.
i.e. at that point it should switch over, and maybe the logs will give them a clue why it's not.

If you haven't tried changing LAN cables yet, please do it.

What's more, I've tried the cpl which could have been problematic elsewhere and with other devices, and everything works perfectly!

No one to help me? Again this morning, when I switched on the device, there was no ethernet connection. After several minutes of connection attempts, the ultra automatically switches to the wifi connection. Thanks for your help.

Is it possible to connect the Ultra directly to the router and test it? It would help you determine if there is a problem with the Ultra or with the network devices .

Hello,

The problem is that the router is on the other side of my house. What I can't understand is that everything has always worked perfectly in this configuration.

Once again, I'm with @Wiimer on this one.
Try to move it temporarily, just to test it. You can use the headphone out to test for playback, but turn the volume down first!
We've seen a few people here say that powerline adapters have caused them issues.

I can't imagine it's the Ultra.
Power line adapters are not 100% reliable.
Maybe you will have to try to get you're WiFi better in the room where the Ultra is operating.
Best way would be to connect the ultra to a wired connection.
Don't know if it's possible to do this?
I'm quite sure the problem is the internet connection over the power adapter.

I'm going to try this tonight when I get home from work. I've never had a problem with it.
Haven't a problem before but doesn't mean there will be one now..
You can not rely on those Powerline adapters.
The Powerline adapter is the cause of the problem of that I'm quite sure.

Try fixing a better WiFi connection in the room where you want to listen to the Ultra..try a wifi booster, Repeater in this room.
Best way would be a wired connection.

I have an old building where WiFi can barely travel through the walls, meanwhile my powerlines have been reliable for over 10 years, don't slate them unfairly.

Newer powerlines seem to try and be "smart" and turn off when no data is going through them, disabling this may help.
