USB out is bitperfect if volume setting is set to max and no EQ is used. Thus, output sampling rate and bit depth is the same as the incoming stream.

I don't know if / when a max or fixed sample rate option will be available for the usb output.
Wiim should be aware of this as feedback / tickets for this have certainly been raised.
Guess all we can do is wait and see. Or send more feedback!

The Pre-Gain value on the Audio Input page? Yes, it does. This is digital gain so the output cannot be technically "bit-perfect" anymore, just as with EQ and RC.

On a practical level this proofs how important "bit-perfect" really is: The use of this term should better be limited to describe the technically perfect transmission of a digital signal. As soon as you actively manipulate a digital signal (for a very good reason and beneficial for you listening experience, like RC) it becomes virtually useless.

As soon as digital volume control is involved, bit-perfect loses its technical meaning anyway.
