Wiim Ultra random amp triggers

I have my Wiim Ultra setup to turn on the amplifiers from the 12V trigger out. It works perfectly in terms of always turning the amps on when it should and never turning them off when it shouldn't. However, there is an annoying and disconcerting behavior where occasionally it will signal for the amps to turn on when the Ultra is not in use. The signal must be relatively short in duration because they will turn back off pretty quickly. It does not happen very often as far as I know, but I am not around the system all the time.

I might not even notice it, except my amps are controlled by a server sequencer that has relays that click pretty loudly when they engage and the amps have cooling fans which can be heard when they turn on. The server sequencer uses the 12V trigger signal from the Ultra to sequence the amplifiers on.

If I had to guess, I would say it is associated with firmware updates or something like that because it is very infrequent.

Any insight as to what could be causing this? And if it is associated with auto updates, I would like to request that the programmers try to prevent this from occurring during the update process.

I think it has been said in the past that WiiM devices will periodically reboot to clear cache or similar. It might be useful the next time it happens for you to submit a ticket to WiiM via the more/feedback section in the app so they can inspect your device logs for the actual cause.

You might know my, lets call it "slight reservations" about that. But I love "or similar" indeed 😇😉😂
