Wiim Ultra using Asset UPnP - After ripping, certain albums are being split?

Hi all

Please forgive my (probably) stupid question, but after ripping a couple of albums they are displaying as two separate albums i.e. tracks 1 to 8 as one album and then tracks 9 to 11 as another identical album.

Both the problems are with albums that I have had to adjust due to incorrect metadata, I have checked and double checked and the (what I think) necessary data is the same for each separated album i.e. artist name, album name, track name etc.

The ID tags in PerfectTUNES match the file names on my WD hard drive

Is there an easy way to "join" these albums together?

So far I have deleted and reloaded the Wiim app, rebooted my computer (iOS) and also the Asset. The albums are displaying correctly on the Asset app, but not on the Wiim app (on iPad)

Thanks for any help

In Apple Music (iTunes), there is a field for disc n of n. Is there is a similar tag in PerfectTunes?

I am not using iTunes.

I rip using DBPoweramp CD Ripper via an iMac to an off board HD (WD) and use Asset UpNP via the Wiim Ultra to play

As you can probably tell I am not brilliant at all things computer…😢😂

Along the top of the DBPoweramp header, there is a Disc n/n field. I suggest, you try changing that to 1/2 for the first CD and 2/2 for the second CD.

I am a bit confused, I don’t want to rip again as I have to change all the metadata on one of the discs (It’s being recognised as a completely different artist - from the same label though) such a pain.

I don’t/haven’t used the DBpoweramp ripper, so can’t help much more.

I would try viewing and selecting the media in DBPoweramp or some other tag viewer/editor, and then make sure that the album name and artist is the same. Change the disc n/n to reflect the disc number within the pair/set.

If the discs are part of a compilation or by various artists, change that tag to reflect the disc properties.

Good luck

Thank so much for your help.

I think I have found the problem!

Duplicate tracks…..I used finder to see how many of the tracks that there were on the split album that had only a few tracks, thre were doubles, so I deleted them and that seems to have done the trick.

Thanks again, your help was much appreciated. 👍
