I have minidsp flex as dac and it is slow to boot so i wait a while.

As a streamer it should work great from the app. I usually start playback from the app then stop it for a few tens of secongs then replay. Still misses a few seconds of the begining.

Is it only in ultra or other models too?

I have a purifi based amp and couldnt be happier. Also ncore based amps are in same class as purifi. Based on these great modules is the IOM Ultra which was physically designed to fot the wiim ultra size and looks.

Has anyone noticed that now the play queue is limited to 50 tracks for qobuz and deezer on the ultra. I think that is far too little.

If you have amp or dac and sub and have them connected to a 12v trigger the playing starts right away but the equipment may need time to start up thus cutting the begning of playing. This can be solved by having a setting for delay.

With hdmi extractor in the loop can you change volume via tv remote? If so how are you connecting it and can you provide a link to it if i would like to buy it.

I have a umik 1 connected to both fold 6 and ipad mini but wiim does not show that it is seeing it.

It shuts off after the number of minutes you select. If you do the settings it will also sense digital and analog inputs. I use the 12v trigger, it sometimes does not turn off but that is a once in a few months thing.
