When I got my Space Gray Ultra it looked more like silver than gray. I checked the box and it had a label that indicated Space Gray. The color on many of the pictures look much darker than it actually is.
That makes total sense. Thanks for the suggestion and I will enable the notifications. I just checked on the WiiM app and I did not find a way to enable updates for the app. How is that enabled?
I still do not understand why all the sudden it is needed to add a tag when starting a new thread. I...
The above issue was resolved by going to the iOS app store and updating the WiiM app. That was all it took. I did not think of this but it was a suggestion that was made over at the Steve Hoffman forum. I updated the WiiM support ticket to let them know the issue is resolved.
But I'm now seeing...
I just updated my Ultra to firmware 5.2.708441. Now when playing files from an attached USB hard drive I'm having an issue. If I select an album and hit play the track playing is in a panel at the bottom of the screen on my iPhone 13. Now if I click on the panel it is maximized and just shows...
Not sure if you are referring to adding an external DAC as a device that will add distortion or noise. I can firmly state that the addition of a Denafrips Pontus 15 DAC between my Ultra and Yamaha A-S1100 amp that there is no audible noise or distortion.
If anything your response is insulting to WiiM support. I doubt you have any idea how many WiiM staff to answer online inquiries. If you sent several inquiries maybe different staff responded. Who knows. But to say they are "stupid" is pretty low IMO.
Well it seems that WiiM can't please you. You started this thread "WiiM really let me down" because they didn't enact a feature you requested. But in the above post you say "I much preferred the old style WiiM. Their first commitment was to fix the glitches, and 90% of the time they succeeded"...
Not aggressive at all. The fact that I have an opinion opposite of yours does not make it aggressive. If the WiiM team comes through with the VU meter graphics that some here desire then that's great. Still doesn't change the fact that it's a feature that I'll never use or want. I think you're...
Promised? Was that a promise to add the feature as you asked or to look into it?
In all honesty I have no interest in the Topping D70 or the fact that it has a "VuMeter". It's a feature of no value to me as what purpose would it serve other than being a visual aesthetic.
Do you mean the many other features that are there and functioning correctly on the Ultra? If so those features are there and one doesn't need to contact WiiM support to request that they be added or changed.
Useful for what? To see if the music you are playing is peaking? If it is I'd think...
I honestly have no interest in the VU meter graphics. I just keep the album art of the current album playing. The Ultra’s display is not large enough to see from 6’ or further. I don’t see how one can expect WiiM to devote resources to have multiple VU meter graphic options and then have them...
