all my blabbering just in reaction to the fact that "problem solved with a 3A" seems normal and not cause reaction...
(I'll just ask for news of the minis around me)
If there are suspicions regarding the latest firmware, which would accentuate "borderline" situations... that Wiim is already investigating...
not switching to a 2A power supply ( work "before") is not normal with a mini...that's all...
I don't want to say much...just that it's easy to point out a 2A that has become the standard for a while in many uses...( the 1A at the bottom of our drawers seem few years)
Noooo problemo..need an 3A now.... before X3 1A , now X10 for the mini , but not pro plus (1A can but logic 2A , X3...
The Wiim mini will now need a 3A transformer...wellllll and 2A not enough....
Now..
( but pro plus ...2A is ok..., and just try with an 1A of old chromecast, at 4.9v...ok)
X3... OK but x10.... ? ;-)
No problemo...
;-)

(I just hope it will be investigated seriously....
End for me)
even if in my opinion it's up to Wiim to do it...,
maybe some here could observe the consumption of a Wiim mini up to date..take just few minutes (like with just a restart etc)?
That would clarify the situation.....
if many others have no problems with their mini, classic 1A supply , and recent firmware...just a hardware problem in somes mini...
(""enough""....how many people does that start from?
;-) )
for a machine operating with 1A basic transformers since 2021/22, with a consumption of less than 0.3A ...
the situations, the proportions, described here are not normal and require a rapid reaction from wiim...
(plus pro side...nothing has changed since its release on this point it seems even...
If you find the situation normal, not requiring serious investigations...
Answer of wiim?
(ps in the case of the pro plus...no overconsumption at startup...or even a little lower....moreover, even a correct 1A transformer would support occasional overconsumption ... problem of tension?)
Ps
with latest firmware + peq, analog output 2v (and with its akm card which is suspected of being quite power-hungry), a pro plus ....
< 0.7A (< 5.1v)
(In previous measurements, the mini was not even halfway... your mini should be measured as is... Regarding the charging types: fast...
(I gave my minis around me otherwise I would have checked it , need 10 secondes...but damn...it's at wiim checking that s in first...but maybe we just shouldn't expect "MIL" reliability from these little products ;-))) )
Your discussions on this power supply issue seem unthinkable to me... even if, following a firmware update that would lead to higher consumption, it originally consumes less than 300mA... so... but especially if that's really the case and were to increase considerably... the real concern would...
