    Loudness curve?

It can be associated with the variable level, or even be a variable itself... or not. It could be a standalone function (just a GEC or PEQ, really), as was the case on many older amplifiers. But in any case, it should be easily accessible with an on/off switch. (Since the vast majority of...

    Loudness curve?

But I've been suggesting this feature for years too... Simply adding more functions always requires more thought and skills... and we mustn't forget, in the midst of all this, where the priorities lie( and their potential negative impacts of fonctions)

    Loudness curve?

Yes, being able to easily engage or disengage it while listening... I finally realized that my idea of a graphical console, like an "analog preamp face," allowing direct access to the ever-growing number of audio functions, wasn't actually that bad, especially for those using tablets, etc. (an...

    Loudness curve?

There really needs to be some thought given to the idea of offering a simplified and intelligent global mode... and an expert mode... Furthermore... still no auto-gain nor the possibility of overload peak/DRC off... despite all the tinkering with the sound, "DSP"... PEQ, roomfit, vumetre, now...

    Loudness curve?

I suspect... Without simple and direct access, easy, these functions lose their appeal in "real life".

    Loudness curve?

(One possible approach is to offer this function (adjustable), with an autogain, at a fixed level, for use with a Wiim and a classic adjustable volume at the preamp level without loudness...)

    Loudness curve?

Just on of here? On/ off loudness... (if the function made available chose in upstream....)

    Loudness curve?

Why? Shouldn't it be an "" "overlay"""? (Whether it can be combined or not on the variable volume setting.) (Since I don't have an Ultra, I don't understand the point of your discussion about its commitment or lack thereof...)

Safely Using Pre Gain without Clipping

Just Cartdrige mm at 2.5mV, not a very high level, ..on a preamp with not a very high mm gain ;-)

Safely Using Pre Gain without Clipping

If the phono stage gain (in mm? in mc? on which cartridge? its output level? ) is insufficient for your cartridge (this is quite common as there's no real standard)... you have no little risk of saturating the ADC...and it seems to me that adjusting the pre-gain in this specific case...

Feature Request: Roon Ready Relay Support for WiiM Pro & Pro Plus

That...not really...(but it doesn't detract from your request for functionality ... ;-) ) "This is a perfect match for the WiiM Pro Plus, which already has a high‑quality ADC for its Line‑In." ;-)

It's time to evolve into new Flagship

Are you referring to the approaches and measurements used on ASR for the "high-end" model? Is that right? Even with a slight inconsistency in this same approach, which, depending on the position of asr, there wouldn't be any difference between an Ultra and a "Plus" model? And no difference...

It's time to evolve into new Flagship

To be more frank, (to follow them for almost 4 years), I think Wiim lacks the skills and experience regarding audio hardware and audio topics to tackle the high-end market. They're learning, which is normal. (although on some subjects it remains really difficult to understand :censored:) But...

It's time to evolve into new Flagship

Without necessarily thinking about upgrading for Wiim (who will do what they want anyway ;-) ) etc., we can see that everyone will have a little idea of what relevant optimizations of current models could be like with the benefit of hindsight... "mk2" versions... without necessarily excessive...

Upgrade to Wiim amp ultra or to get a subwoofer

There's a somewhat specific scenario that I think is often misunderstood: the use of even a relatively modest subwoofer with acoustic music (not electronic music or home theater effects), particularly to provide room volume or extend the sound of certain instruments (I'm setting aside the organ)...
