Small ps: It's very easy to view -observe your cal files in REW. ;-)

Features wanted in a Wiim Ultra 2

Perhaps you should check out the minidsp forum for active speaker filtering. Your considerations etc. will, I think, find much more meaning there. Here, more modestly, Wiim is working on producing an interesting, consumer-grade room treatment; and maybe one day FIR processing will become so...

Dayton microphone on Wiim amp ultra to improve Roomfit?

example: Here's a typical 90-degree response from a high-performance omni measurement microphone, normally very linear up to 30 kHz... just indicative... ;-) (But I think I've already posted it here...) Responses above 1 kHz are not relevant to our corrections... not a topic But Umik offers 0...

Dayton microphone on Wiim amp ultra to improve Roomfit?

In low-frequency use, there will be no impact " for cal "between 0 and 90 degrees...rest assured. You can use cal at 0 in 90degres if <300hz ;-)

Features wanted in a Wiim Ultra 2

1611 is cms "bi for bi" Perhaps, like many recent Chinese productions " in the style of ASR".. this 1611-12 will be found in future Wiim productions. (But the 553* remains the legend...still there...since...1979...)

Features wanted in a Wiim Ultra 2

It might be interesting if you have two Wiim consoles, one modded and one unmodded... otherwise, it will become really difficult to be even remotely credible with limited resources. that s a mimium no? ;-) I have mods 5534 to 1611 for fun...and would be hard-pressed to talk about them without...

    The competition doesn't sleep

If we consider that a forum can quickly become a sounding board for complaints about technical problems (there are bound to be some, despite everything)... we can observe that Wiim, for the moment, seems to be doing rather well... (These are products that were put on the market a bit early...

    The competition doesn't sleep

Yamaha still has an audio range, even a new series of fairly serious speakers... Perhaps the streaming market is too crowded and difficult... especially with players like Wiim Eversolo, etc.

Strange behavior of RoomFit and settings

It is directly linked to assessing the proportions to apply A function associated with DSP treatments has been missing for many years. (or at least , for help, a true peak overload indicator...) Perhaps displaying the level in dB rather than as a percentage would be very welcome and more...

Strange behavior of RoomFit and settings

A nice little study by staticv3 on the impact of different level settings on mini has just been posted on an ASR forum.... (We should ask for his permission if he agrees to share it here...) Between the absence of autogain with the DSP...the various possibilities for level limiting settings...so...

Effect of subwoofer/speaker latency settings on frequency response

two very different types of slopes ;-) What type of enclosure subwoofer are you using? A measurement taken very close to it, perhaps near the woofer or one of your speakers if close would be helpful. Little tricks exist to try and extricate yourself from the impacts of the coin... for a cleaner...

Features wanted in a Wiim Ultra 2

Many (?) see this machine not just as a streamer but as an "all-in-one" preamp... """"I'd have liked slightly bigger screen, IR receiver""" That doesn't seem very useful to me either. ;-)
