Give 'em a break though...the WiiM Amp has only been in-market for around 6 months. It's amazing that they've done updates so soon, and good ones to boot. Considering this rate of change there will be more, great products in the pipe I'm sure. I also, would have liked to see a monoblock...

I already decided to replace my Denon AVR with WiiM amp when my WiiM Ultra arrives. Hate the Denon menu system from the 90's and all the weird things I keep finding don't work as required (think it was digital inputs going to zone2 or something). I'll use high quality 2.1 rather than an AVR...

It's all about timing, it just happens to be a reasonably major event at the right time to stick a device in front of journos. Nothing to do with target market and folks in EU. Real marketing is online which is global and I'm sure devices will be going to Darko, cheapaudionman et al very soon...

They'll be tooling for production now....way past hardware changes I suspect. Plus, Q3 is 7 weeks away....not 2 quarters.

I bought a cheap 11" Chinese android tablet for 120 bucks and stuck it on a flexible arm at my seating position. Works a treat and I feel like Captain Kirk in his chair every time I have a listening session :). My point being, expensive smartphones aren't necessary for those that don't have...

In the first beta it was capped at 10db and I believe that was reduced to 6db in second beta (can't check that right now, may be 5). Not sure on your second question...afaik it's just a case on +or- up to 6db at 10 points across the spectrum.

Q2 lasts 3 months. Doesn't mean they announce on day 1 of Q2....could be June. These WiiM guys do an amazing job pumping out new software, I'm sure they are doing the best they can with hardware as well. As dangermouse says...we must be patient :)

@WiiM Support I've done beta testing as I've exhausted ways to make RC work for me and provided all feedback directly. Can my beta testing slot be given to someone else so they can test and ease that disappointment? :)

I saw Genesis in 1987 in Berlin just near the Brandenberg gate and right next to the berlin wall before it came down. Great concert but riots on the eastern side as I suspect they could hear the fun and were frustrated they could not partake. Eurythmics and a few other popular bands also played...

The digital USB output can feed preferred DAC/Amp combo's for headphone use. The "all in one" is missing headphone output.
