Yes, I agree, although I think many of us can identify with hifi components we have tested that do indeed sound flat and uninteresting.

The other reason given for not mentioning this feature is the 20 minute limit to his videos. As if saying ‘and it supports Alexa Cast’ means he will have to mutilate the music played between features. Very odd justification.

I would agree with these sentiments. In addition, the Mojo2 has lossless DSP tone controls which can be used should you not wish to use WiiM’s own room correction. In fact, I have used the curves suggested by WiiM RC to help inform my Mojo2 tone control settings.

And for the well heeled amongst us, I didn’t see Linn on the list either, which is surprising given their tradition of being at the vanguard of streaming developments.

I was rather hoping the lock screen controls would appear in music streamed from LMS to my WiiM Mini but alas no. Interestingly, if the same file is played through the WiiM App ‘Home Music Share’ via the LMS UPnP/DLNA Media Interface plugin then it does appear.

If an analogy is made with pharmaceutical clinical trials then I would suggest that each listener should never have been exposed to either piece of equipment previously and (something I have not seen mentioned here) that it be a crossover trial i.e. rather than just A/B, half the subjects are...
