Currently have the Wiim Pro with a 5v LPS running to a RME ADI-2 and AKM chipset. It sounds great.
The WiiM Ultra II would be a big winner with the new dual AKM chipset is what I was offering. Think it would be a big winner.
Wonder if the WiiM scientists are testing out a new WiiM Ultra II with the new AKM chipset combination. Have been hearing very positive reports on the implementation of these chips together.
That might take the next version to another level of refinement but probably cost a little more.
People need to understand while there is nothing wrong with an excellent external DAC like Geshelli Labs, the entire system is going to be reflected in the final output.
That's why you don't see the outcome you anticipate. Most midfi systems are not going to get any dynamic jump by adding an...
Just wanted to note that the renaming of my WiiM Pro also resolved the issue I ran into too.
Now I can run QC from any IOS device without having to keep the Mac OS Qobuz application open once again.
Wow, that is surely interesting and WiiM may want to make this a sticky. Could not understand...
Yes, but unsure what is the origination of the issue. It occurred after an earlier WiiM firmware upgrade didn't take cleanly. So, I had to do an additional reboot and that's when it began. I may drop an email to Qobuz @ support-help@qobuz.com as they are pretty good at looking into issues...
So, after a recent initial firmware upgrade weeks back that required a reboot, still seeing that weird reliance where the Qobuz desktop version on Mac OS is required to be active for the IOS devices to connect.
Without it, the IOS devices will spin six times attempting to connect to QC and then...
No longer. Official launch for Qobuz Connect is today.
On IOS, an update went from 9.0.0 to 9.0.1

Great idea and so I did it. Noticed with the beta version the same slip back on IOS devices was happening. That was concerning because the WiiM QC beta did not do that earlier.
Then I updated once again to the current firmware. Saw the same spinning beachball effect trying to switch and lock on...
No, I've not fiddled with any of this. The iPhone is already set to FIXED. The iPad is older OS and shows Private IP address as on. I'll reboot the router too though.
Once again today, I saw the issue but when the Mac OS desktop Qobuz application connects to Qobuz Connect, the other devices...
Did the WiiM Pro three times. Did not reboot the router. Today, noticed the same issue on IOS devices.
They spin when choosing Qobuz Connect. Once the desktop Qobuz application is opened and connected to Qobuz Connect then both IOS devices can connect.
The iPad easily connected then. The...
Did the WiiM firmware update today and it turned hell on IOS. Can't lock on to Qobuz Connect from an iPhone or iPad.
Same ones that worked just fine the other day (as I noted here earlier).
After the WiiM update, neither IOS device would lock on to Qobuz Connect. It could select every other...
Yes, the IOS Apple Store has Qobuz and visited it seeing "update" to the new version for QC.
On the Mac OS desktop, I restarted the Qobuz application and then it showed atop that an update awaited.
So I hit that and restarted again with the QC download version. In about it says, "8.0.0-b009...
Can you confirm the Qobuz version? Yesterday, I restarted the app when I heard about the release. It then showed atop that it needed to relaunch for an update. When I did, it logged me out and I had to then log back in from the Qobuz website.
When I logged back in, a popup on the Qobuz desktop...
Hi again, I'm not using Wi-FI. Everything going in via Ethernet here.
Only one limited song compared via the WiiM app using Qobuz after the Room Correction was rerun.
A further listen maybe tomorrow when I can compare and monitor volume for each.
