What products you'd like to see WiiM produce?

Just...
There are preamps that only have that... or only those inputs are available.
Or... if used as a preamp:
Used with active speakers, or perhaps that's the intended use...
or
the desire to place mono amplifiers near the speakers... or reliable and ultimately sometimes less expensive connections from a professional supplier... etc.
Or
a symbol of quality for some... as irrational as VU meters or FFRs, which have no other purpose than visual appeal...

and is therefore... a good selling point for Wiim at a low cost... ;-)

Can someone please explain to me why so many people want XLR in a setup where the pre-amp and amp is in the same rack?

To me XLR only makes sense for microphones and very long studio cables.

More robust terminals, a positive locking system, tougher cables (RCA is known to break off) My power amplifiers are fully balanced XLR, my av pre amp would be unbalanced over XLR.

XLR are the better connector, but ideally you want the device to be fully balanced design...

... I thought of one more idea for the Ultra Sonic-Supremo based on the Roadmap work regarding dual subwoofer calibration:
Dual subwooofer outputs.

Original thoughts below from Roadmap forum; sorry for the redundant, repetitive, reiterative context.

Balanced outputs (go big with nice XLRs);
High-quality, outboard power supply;
Dual ESS chips;
Analog, resistor-ladder volume control, so we don't lose bit depth at lower volumes;
Decoding for Ultra-hi res formats - DSD512, PCM 768kHz, and MQA(?);
Retain Phono in;
Connector for external Wi-Fi antenna;
Appropriately Larger screen (!) ;);
...

And how about that catchy name (Ultra++, Ultra Sonic Supremo, Ultra Pinnacle, Ultra Apex, or Ultra Ultima...)? Sonics first but help me out with a fun name here.
I love all the ideas in the roadmap even though I may not use some. Choice! Sincere thanks, again, to the WiiM team for their dedication, kindness, responsiveness, and patience!!! Brave souls.

Why? There's no reason an internally fully balanced device would perform better. It can be exactly the opposite.

The advantages of a balanced connection (in those rather rare cases where they might be needed) can be fully realised with devices that are internally single-ended. Everything else is a myth.

Sure enough, XLR connectors are superior to RCA connectors mechanically and electrically. They also consume quite a bit of space and - believe it or not - are totally uncommon with home Hi-Fi gear, except for us Internet nerds.

Would love to see Wiim develop a battery powered version of the new Wiim sound. This would be the addition of a built in internal rechargeable lithium pack as a base beneath the Sound….similar to the Sonos move, it would be a mobile version of the sound you could take out on your deck, in the back yard…or even on a tailgate party (via Bluetooth). I have 2 Sonos Moves that I use weekly on our deck in the warm months. They’re the only remaining Sonos gear I own as I’ve converted all my in-house zones to Wiim. I think Wiim would sell a ton of these things.

Ok, really getting the itch for an Ultra II that will terrify the Eversolo T8 and match up well with the Volumio Rivo+.

Think WiiM is ready for it. Do it, WiiM, do it!

I currently use my Ultra at my desk, and and Mini fit my headphones downstairs. It’d be nice to move the Ultra downstairs, but I’m not doing that just to buy another Ultra, I’ll wait for an Ultra II for the desk, or stick with the Mini downstairs.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but a headphone amp with HRTF cross-feed implemented in DSP might be nice. Likewise, crosstalk cancellation for speakers would be nice in the amplifiers or even in the streamers.

I feel like I should clarify my point of view.

I'm not against a flagship digital streaming pre-ceiver at all. Balanced outputs, why not? Dual ES9039Q2M, sure. It's just not that all this would be mandatory for the Ultra. It could be implemented in an upmarket device.

As long as the E-class exists, you can always opt for that at the Mercedes showroom, regardless whether the S-class is there or not, so long as they don’t cease E-class production.

I‘d love to see a Sound Lite in a more classic design. A solid housing with only a front grill.
The current Pod design is kinda clumsy.
It may have been interesting when it was introduced by Apple (or was it Amazon?) but I think it‘s time to ditch it. It always reminds of one of those scent dispensers in restaurant toilets.

Exactly.
