Indeed I am. Great suggestion. The only minor gripe is that it doesn't scrobble compilations properly, but that's small beers at this point.

Re-reviewing the Plex functionality as it stands, since I used the initial betas: It's good that the "Recently Added" is now a rolling list - it only used to contain the latest 6 additions to your library, which was way too limited. The addition of lists akin to what Plex generates to throw...

Just spent a couple of hours setting up Home Assistant on my NAS and getting this running. Works like a charm! Makes the WiiM app Plex implementation a bit more palatable and useful :)

Symfonium upnp is probably the best workaround I've found, in the absence of plexamp endpoint. It's not perfect though. I've found issues with its queue management (it occasionally thinks that it's playing one song but it's actually playing the next song in the queue...)

No plexamp features. It's just a browser in the app. It works well enough but it annoyingly doesn't report plays back to Plex so if you were hoping to scrobble to last fm or listenbrainz you're out of luck at the moment. It also caps "recently added" music to 6 albums which seems way too low to me.

Is the missing server remote, if so, that is probably why. If it's on your local network: do you have SSL/HTTPS set to "required" (as opposed to "preferred") for this particular server, because there is/was an issue (soon to be patched, if not done very recently) with WiiM accessing Plex via...

Yeah, I hope they're able to remedy this. It's the one thing that was going to make this viable for my usecase, if their plex implementation didn't involve casting to an endpoint.
