It makes sense that the WiiM app would only see the LMS server via DLNA.
But…what does this functionality mean, then?
It reads to me as if you can enter the IP address of your LMS server to view as a Home Music Share somehow.
Bless you for making me dig in and check that setting. Though I previously had it set to 100% fixed volume, it changed somewhere along the way. All good now.
Well, I am on WiiM Pro’s 1/14 firmware update, and my volume is still showing as variable, not fixed. I reported this months ago, and was told a fix was coming. No fix yet for me…
Yeah, but then it's just going to fix everything at whatever rates I choose above that, right? I don't want to upconvert everything, I'd prefer to hear everything at their genuine bit and sample rates.
I will. Happened on the Mini too, so I’m betting it’s the way my receiver/amp handles the switch in rates. Also, I don’t want to affect how segued albums play with fade settings. Either way, an annoyance, not a dealbreaker.
Same exact issue today setting up my new WiiM Pro (replacing WiiM Mini to take advantage of native Squeezelite)
The volume appears to be greyed out at max in LMS Material on my Mac and my iPad, yet the playback volume is not maxed out. I previously had the volume set to 50% under "Volume...
Hey, @d6jg ... I'm having a fixed volume issue now, which I quoted you on in the LMS forums. Might you be able to help me with that?

So, to bring this back from the dead…
I just got my WiiM Pro today (coming from a Mini), and I’m experiencing the click between tracks when switching sample rates. It’s a “tick” in the left channel. Not a pop, not a screech.
I’m using Squeezelite/LMS via WiFi to connect to the WiiM Pro, and...
After a year of running LMS on my Mini using the Bridge plugin, I’ve finally upgraded to a Pro to run Squeezelite natively.
My question is this: if I move the Mini to another room, and I leave the Bridge plug-in enabled, how can I be sure the Pro is using Squeezelite and not accessing the...
Thanks guys. Guess I'll dust off the furniture sliders, then.
FWIW, I haven't had any such "weird behavior" with my Mini and the stock PSU, which has been up and running well over year now.
Just grabbed a Pro during Amazon’s Prime Day sale.
Would I be able to swap my new Pro into my system using the Mini’s power supply, or is the V/A rating drastically different?
I only ask so I can avoid moving furniture if I don’t have to. I’m connecting via Optical digital to my receiver, not...
The point is…the issue is with Spotify/Tidal/Qobuz and their Connect features, not WiiM.
And it doesn’t have to be an “Apple Device”. Many non-Apple devices have Airplay capabilities. This should work using whatever Google’s iteration is called these days, too.
