Agreed, 1 step increments is the best. Please please implement it. Or even better like my Audio Analogue amp which has 4 settings for how the volume increases, why not have 3 or 4 different volume scales for the Wiim that gives you some flexibility.
I think that was to avoid shorting the circuit if aware accidentally touched the casing. There was an incident where a reviewer touch the speaker wire on the outer casing and it shutdown the whole unit and had to reboot.
No you can't damage it like that. There used to be old tube amps that could get damaged if turned on without a load but beer heard of that issue with an modern amps or class d amps.
I'm not looking to be satisfied, but the amount of complaints re power and then they still say 4 speakers are fine. Maybe someone can test it with 4 speakers and see how it fairs.
Strange how a question gets turned into some people are impossible to satisfy. Again I'm not looking for more power...
But no speaker has a flat impedance, so even if they state it's 8 ohm chances are it can dip way below that so it's a bit of a trial and error to see what it can run in 4 speaker configuration.
Doesn't the new Amp Pro allow 4 speakers to play at once, Im sure thats what they said, so it should have 4 binding posts or am I missing something? I see the pic shows only 2 binding posts
, so what Im trying to understand is why is the new version spec able to play 4 speakers and the previous...
Has the power supply been improved?
Lots of complaints of lack of current to drive big or difficult load speakers, on my Amp you can hear the Dynsmics or Bass soften when pushed to hard, so how will the Amp Pro handle 4 speakers at once, have there been any improvements made to the power supply?
It will show that while it's linking up. Just leave it for longer and it will connect and automatically go to the next screen. It also had me confused at first and I kept setting it up as well. Sometimes it just takes a bit longer to connect and leave the setup screen.
I have the same issue, sound is muted whenever i change source or line input. I then have to adjust the volume bar or pause it and then push play again for the sound to come back.
I assume it's a safety function in case the the volume is to loud on selecting another input or source, wouldn't it...
I've set the sampling rate back to 16/44 on mine and still have the issue. This issue was resolved months ago, but after one of the recent firmware updates it all changed again..
I'm having the same issue with Qobuz after one of the recent Wiim firmware updates the clicking and popping sounds are back when sample rate changes. Very frustrating, a few of my customers have the same complaint, Wiim sent an update with a new button for fixed sample rate to one of my...
So far I've tested the Triangle Borea BR03 and Cambridge Audio S20.
They sound very nice on the Triangles but don't like to be pushed excessively loud though, the amp has more than enough power for them but the top end gets a little sharp when really pushed hard, but if in a small to meduim...
