Thanks for all the feedback. The extender is doing its job for the security cameras and I found a way around the WiiM Mini problem. Going into the extender's advanced settings, I found that there is one to selectively block devices from using its access point. So now the Mini is no longer...
Has anyone had this problem? I installed a wi-fi extender to use with a new camera security system, not with my streaming network. It is in a room near one of my Minis. I was curious so I used its access point with the Mini and it was very strong. But after a few hours it knocked the Mini...
The mystery is solved. I discovered that one track in one of my files was apparently corrupted. When I replaaced the files the problem went away. Legacy mode is now working properly. This did not cause a problem accessing my music library in my Logitech streaming device (works on Lyrion...
I should add that when the label told me about the artist moving on to a major label, they sent me a WAV file of the entire album so I would not lose it. Very nice of them.
There have been times when I've lost the ability to play downloaded albums on the Qobuz app. When I contacted them about this, I was told that when the license for Qobuz to offer the album expires they have to take it off the site. I complained that the website said the user retains the right...
I got mconnect lite to dispslayl the name of my music library. When I select it,the screen clearly shows how many albums, tracks, etc. I have so I know it is recognizing it. But when I click on Folders or any of the other choices in the "Music" screen, I get the same blank screen as with WMP...
I downloaded mconnect lite. I don't even see a way on that to access my music library. But I agree that bookmarks would not work if it were a WMP issue. I already contacted WiiM, they seem to have some ideas so I'll see what they say, I guess.
I checked. Seems the only way to clear the cache of an app on iOS is to uninstall and reinstall the app. I've already done that on my iPad and lost my bookmarks. And it didn't restore the legacy functionality.
I should also mention, in case I failed to do so, that all of my folders that are starred (bookmarked) are displayed perfectly once I go to my bookmarks. It's only when I try and access my music the conventional way that it doesn't come up. Anyone else have this problem?
I just re-read the post from 6:21. It's not a question of improving the legacy mode. It's a question of just letting it be the way it always has been. There is nothing wrong with it, as long as it works!
I use it to rip music to my computer, to burn compilation discs and downloads I purchase, sometimes to watch videos, and whatever; it's the only music server I have on my desktop and the only one I've ever needed (I hope it stays that way).
The problem with using another server like MinimServer or any other is that I like WMP for a lot of other applications and I believe in simplicity. It would be a pain using one server for X, another for Y, etc.
And I sincerely hope they do not focus on the Advanced Mode at the expense of the Legacy Mode. There was nothing wrong with it the way it was. And from reading on this forum I get the impression I am far from the only user that is not happy. Many of us, myself included, have invested a...
I use WMP. I don't know about other servers. Up to now, until they started with this advanced mode, everything was working fine, it was a totally reliable and simple app. Somethings seem to have gone wrong in the mix, as they say, when they tried to add these new features. I don't know why...
