Okay, I'm an idiot. Not sure why I was running through the preamp. The Pro Plus sounds better straight into the amp. Solved the subwoofer signal by splitting the RCA from the PP.

I'm going to forgo the sub for now and try the Pro Plus as a preamp to see if the sound improves at all. Those are original caps in my vintage setup so there might be.

I'm running the Pro Plus with the following: NAD 1155 preamp NAD 2200 amp A/D/S L1090 speakers PA PS10 subwoofer (from Tape 2 OUT of preamp) Now I'm wondering if I got the Ultra could I forgo the preamp, and most importantly, would the audio be improved?

From what I gather these settings need to be tried out to see what works best. I have a vintage audiophile system so I guess I'll be experimenting to see if there's any difference in these settings. When they use terms like "ringing" and "artifacts" I'm not sure what they mean...

I set my Pro Plus to automatically recognize an optical in source. It works sometimes and other times it does not. I think this needs to be addressed in a software update.

I finally was able to test it. I've noticed it sounds "clearer" to me. My highs sound tighter and less "crispy". It's noticable on my system, however, this is highly subjective and I know some will say I'm talking myself into it but I won't be returning it and do like the results.

I am running my Pro Plus via my S22 phone. My friend is going to be visiting from out of town and I was wondering if he could load the app on his new iPhone so we can take turns running the Pro Plus?

I use optical-in from my TV when I'm not streaming music on my Pro Plus. My TV remote volume works the optical attached soundbar. I wish there was a way to also pair my TV remote to the WiiM Pro Plus for convenience. No way to do this that I can tell.
