Additional feedback from WiiM regarding the Mini and MRM group not displaying the delay issue.
Hi,
The WiiM Mini works without any issues because Amazon Music doesn’t support high-resolution audio playback when the WiiM Mini is added to an Alexa multi-room group. As a result, this particular...
And it seems to be only with Amazon Music, which is what I use.
I have another setup with a Mini going to an AVR which is part of MRM speaker group with 3 other Echo and I hardly notice the sync being off.
Here's the official answer from WiiM:
Apologies for the inconvenience. There is a known issue where WiiM devices and Amazon Echo devices are out of sync when playing Amazon Music together. This issue requires an update to the Amazon MRM SDK, and since Amazon no longer maintains the MRM SDK for...
I've noticed that when I use my TV as a sound source (via HDMI) to my Amp Ultra, after linking to a Mini, that the picture is way out of sync.
If I unlink the Mini and the Amp then the audio and video are as they should be. Not sure how to measure the lag, but it seems like several hundred...
Can I add the WiiM Sound to an Alexa speaker group like I have done with the Amp Ultra and the Mini?
How is the latency if the Sound is in a group with Alex speakers?
A little update on this... seems various different streaming sources can have different audio level output on my TV's. They are all LG's but depending on the stream I happen to be using the volume level may be different. HBO, YouTube, Paramount, OTA etc all varie. Some greater than others.
The...
In the app it shows the option to "unpair" the sub even though my connection is wired. If I unpair it, the wired connection is removed.
I think it's the terminology used giving the impression that it is paired wirelessly. Paired seems to mean connected wired or wirelessly.
I wasn't really looking for a bass effects machine. I just couldn't really tell when the sub was on or off. Basically I didn't have enough gain. It's much better now thanks to the awesome support in this forum.
Turned the sub gain up to 11dB. That made a difference. I can tell it's there now. (I know, it should be transparent)
First is crossover at 80, second is 85. Both at 11dB.
Does the dip at 50 mean anything? I didn't notice it on previous graphs.
The sub is positioned to the right of the right speaker. I had it on the left outside previously. Can't place it between the speakers. I wanted to move it to a corner but wasn't able to connect wirelessly. I may try that again later.
I'll change crossover and re run RoomFit. Does it make a...
When the sub plays the "sound" in preparation for evaluating RoomFit, there is plenty of base, so it must be in some of my settings that cause my perception of lacking base.
Currently the gain is +6 dB.
