To answer my own question, I connected all 4 speakers to the WiiM Amp and it's working great. I was concerned that the two pairs of speakers are totally dissimilar and the volume would be off, but the volume matches nicely.
Edit to add that I experimented with Fosi and Echo to one pair of...
Mine goes in to standby when TV shuts off. LG. Might be a setting in your TV or WiiM app.
In standby mine is not noticeably warm at all.
Did you let it to update when you set it up? I recall when I first received the WiiM Amp original it was pretty warm in standby and a firmware update fixed that.
I split the output from an Echo to a Fosi Amp and to the WiiM Amp using RCA inputs.
The WiiM is noticeably delayed. Direct connect split from same source.
I thought the WiiM was early from previous listening over Wi-Fi but I must have been incorrect.
My fix is I connected all 4 speakers to the...
Edit to add I suppose we could experiment and split the 3.5mm from the Echo and use that as the input to both a Fosi Amp as well as input to the WiiM Amp. I has two Fosi's and it worked great until an update on the Echo changed the way the voice remote worked.
Now I'm planning on using WiiM...
If I had to guess the issue could be the Echo devices and the way they communicate in MRM. Just a guess that might add some delay.
I think my WiiM Amp is ahead of the Echo. I used to have the Amp in adjacent room to a pair of Echo speakers and don't recall a significant delay.
Guess I'll...
I find myself with the same situation. Did you find a resolution? My setup has the Echo as the source audio to a Fosi amp for one pair of speakers and the WiiM Amp as the source for a second pair of speakers outside. I'm thinking about connecting all 4 speakers to the WiiM Amp but they are two...
User experience so far has been favorable. I replaced my WiiM Amp with the WiiM Amp Ultra. To me it sounds more open and vibrant. EQ settings from running one Room Correction which I had also done with the Amp but may make a difference too.
I also decided to take my soundbar and sub (for the...
I've just started playing with the WiiM Amp remote and curious is it supposed to make the listening tone when I push the mic button like an Alexa device does?
It works fine, but no "bong" when it's listening.
Is it a setting or just not something it does?
I've ordered a Amp Ultra and thinking about using my WiiM Amp to drive two sets of outdoor speakers. Currently I have a Echo as the source, split the audio to two Fosi amps. One for each pair of speakers.
Can I put the Amp in the place of the two Fosi's? The speakers are 2 Klipsch AWR-650's and...
I saw mention of speaker connecter concerns on a post in here somewhere.
Can you tell if these connectors will work, which is what I have now on the WiiM Amp...
Thanks for your help. I was really hoping WiiM would have a nice AVR but my Rotel processor decided to stop sending audio to the amp before that happened.
The one I have connected is a 3rd generation, I believe. It's the puck shape with speaker cloth around the perimeter. I never thought about it, but playing in MRM is going 24/48 so a new WiiM is going to be the same resolution as the Echo 3rd gen but with a much better DAC?
I was really hoping...
The speakers are in-wall and seem to be decent but were put in before me so not sure of the specs.
I purchased a Marantz Cinema 60 to drive the speakers, which also has Amazon Music streaming built in.
Problem is I can't get the Marantz AVR to be a part of a speaker group which is something I...
