Yes, I'm still playing around with trying to get the Cinema 60 to be a part of MRM speaker group. I keep hoping you guys with all the knowledge and experience will show me the way. :)
It's not like it's a big deal to have to turn on the Marantz and switch the input, it's more that I've become...
I'm putting this in the Alexa thread because my goal is to have my Marantz Cinema 60 play in MRM.
I can see the AVR in the Alexa app but can't add it to any speaker groups. It says not compatible.
Currently I have a Echo device as input to the AVR and it will play in MRM but I have to turn on...
I swapped the WiiM Amp for the Ultra and I could tell an improvement in sound quality.
Plus I took the Amp and connected it to two sets of outdoor speakers, which was a very noticeable improvement in sound quality over my Fosi Amps and Echo device.
Unpacking: Box in a box in a box and very heavy.
Open two boxes and lay on side so can pull the WiiM box out to open.
Take sub out of box using the large sock it's packed in.
(this was just a joke post) Not much to the unpacking.
Arrived a day early. I have it setup and working already.
I'm not an audiophile any more but will say the sub is working as expected.
I paired it up with my Thiel's and Amp Ultra. It feels like a good match.
It aesthetically goes better in the room than my Velodyne did, plus I was able to move...
Amazon put through the charge for my recent order. Previous experience tells me that the sub will soon be shipping. :)
I also noticed that they are showing out of stock now. U.S.
Order placed!! :)
Will the app help guide me on placement of the sub?
Being wireless I should have freedom to move the sub anywhere in the room but could use some guidance to get started.
To answer my own question, I connected all 4 speakers to the WiiM Amp and it's working great. I was concerned that the two pairs of speakers are totally dissimilar and the volume would be off, but the volume matches nicely.
Edit to add that I experimented with Fosi and Echo to one pair of...
Mine goes in to standby when TV shuts off. LG. Might be a setting in your TV or WiiM app.
In standby mine is not noticeably warm at all.
Did you let it to update when you set it up? I recall when I first received the WiiM Amp original it was pretty warm in standby and a firmware update fixed that.
I split the output from an Echo to a Fosi Amp and to the WiiM Amp using RCA inputs.
The WiiM is noticeably delayed. Direct connect split from same source.
I thought the WiiM was early from previous listening over Wi-Fi but I must have been incorrect.
My fix is I connected all 4 speakers to the...
