I'd like to have a single WiiM box as the receiver with outputs for external amp (WiiM amps).
I need something simple and love the WiiM App.
My current setup is Rotel Processor and separate Rotel Amp. It works well enough, but the user interface is old fashion remote and navigating the menu is...
Yeah, my description isn't good, but you have the point. I'd like to see 5.1 setup from WiiM. Their products are just so simple and easy to use I want to replace my giant Rotel setup. I suppose a Surround Sound Processor from WiiM would do and use existing 5.1 amp for driving the speakers.
How about a surround sound processer that can decode 5.1 or higher video audio. It would have output for powered sub and amp output for center channel. Line level outputs to a pair of WiiM Amps to drive Front and Rear speakers.
Good information and that's the way I understood MRM to work too. I ran across the number of nine in some docs when trying to sort out the AM network error when adding the whole house full of devices.
Next time I do MRM with the Amp, I'll send another ticket to WiiM. I did it once before, but I...
Once the Amp starts playing in the Group, then it continues to work for me. I'm not sure what triggers the non-play back, but it is usually the next day or so before I will use it again.
Yesterday, I started AMU streaming from the AMU app and the Amp didn't play, as usual for me, but it didn't...
Two devices sound like a pair to me. lol
My groups are several echo devices, 4 to 6 usually setup as multi-room music.
I'm fairly sure that I have cast to the Amp only and had the 1st song playback issue. I need to check that out again.
No problem at all if I use WiiM Home from the start.
I've brought it up before and did a ticket with WiiM but didn't get much traction. Hoping someone else ran across a fix, but not a huge deal. I'm sure it's far down the list of important fixes for more common issues, plus I wouldn't be the least bit surprised it's an Amazon problem too.
My amp is setup as a device so it will play as part of multi-room music along with my other Echos and receiver setups.
My problem has been that the Amp won't play music until I skip a song in amazon music, then it begins to play as it should.
WiiM Home app thinks it's playing but nothing out of...
Is that the Airplay icon? Took me a while to figure that I had to select where to play. I could hear my computer sounds but no music, even though it looked to be playing in WiiM app. Homer Simpson sound when I saw the option for what speakers to use.
Still amazed how it works so easily with...
I honestly don't know. I don't recall seeing Airplay while I was setting it up, but it may be.
Is that why it looks to be using Wi-Fi instead of Bluetooth that I started with?
Well, that was a fun little exercise. I'm not sure if this was the goal on the original post, but it prompted me to see I could get iTunes to play on the WiiM Amp.
Without much trouble I was able to Bluetooth the amp to my PC which is extremely old and not even on Win 11.
PC found the amp right...
These have been working well for me. You can adjust the tightness with the thumbscrew.

I'd really like to see a WiiM surround sound processor and amp. Use the same form factor as the current products and WiiM Home app.
Possibly modular incorporating existing Amp for 5.1 sound. Simple and effective like the rest of the product line.
Amazon music has been misbehaving for the past couple of months, where it will just pause playback for no reason. It shows paused in the AM app and I can hit play to start again.
The Amp is part of my Everywhere group, but the problem is that when I unpause music, the Amp won't resume playback...
