Currently, there is less than 10 ms delay (that you can't observe normally) with the Line In analog interface. There're around 50ms from its SPDIF input that we'll optimize and update the device firmware in couple weeks. As of now, we suggest you connect your TV via the Line In.

The on-device microphone is used to measure the entire audio path latency automatically when it's connected with the receiver or speaker. Youtube music is only supported via the Chromecast and AirPlay 2. It hasn't been integrated into the WiiM Home App yet. When you stream Youtube music with Chromecast, it supports hi-res audio and provides the bit perfect audio output so that you can get the best possible audio quality.

You can connect the optical input of WiiM Pro from another audio source such as Vinyl player, TV or PC and transmit it to another WiiM attached speakers via WiFi or Ethernet as long as they stay in the same network. Since the audio is transmitted digitally and the best audio quality is preserved. Regarding the use of optical out, you can connect WiiM Pro to your DAC, AMP or powered speaker via this interface and use the WiiM Pro as your primary media source. Again, it's able to stream the Hi-Res audio up to 192 kHz/24-bit.
