0 group lead device volume without muting others.

Currently when wiim devices are grouped, volumes act independently until the group leader is turned down to zero, which suddenly mutes the follower device as well.

I would prefer if the follower device continued to produce sound.

My set up uses a wiim amp plugged into the TV and speakers as the group lead, and a wiim pro (follower) to headphones for quiet listening/not disturbing sleepers. It mostly works brilliantly, however to have sound from the TV play on my wiim pro/headphones I need to have the volume on the wiim amp set to at least 1, which is still quite loud.

It might be useful for other users who don't want always to produce sound at the source, ie a turntable in one room sent to speakers in another.

Welcome.

I'm positive I've been able to independantly adjust all wiims in a group and have the leader on 0 and the others on whatever I want.
I'll try it again with an amp (pro or ultra, don't have the original amp) as the leader.

Just put an amp ultra and a pro in a persistent group, spotify connect to that group.
Able to independently adjust either one to 0 and have the other play at whatever volume desired.

Neither of my amps are currently connected to a tv to test this with an hdmi (or optical?) input.

Cheers! I just had a bit more of a play with it.

It is possible to mute the group leader with the mute icon in the app and still have audio play on the other device.

However turning volume down to zero on the leader via the app volume or TV remote will mute both devices.

This seems hdmi arc specific, streaming tidal to the amp and the amp can be set to zero volume while the pro still plays.

So I'm able to get it to do what I want but the behaviour is a little strange.
