Hi wiim, I have to say as a 'newcomer' 'wiim amp ultra 3 weeks' i find many of the various discussions in the forum quite intimidating with people obsessing about certain elements of hifi networking pi nas etc etc .. I do get this and the passion is great, but as a new user and visitor things can get very heated very quickly and this can really make the whole wiim thing seem over complicated.
This is a great neat one box solution for most, many will be migrating from a failing sonos system and just want something that works seamlessly, apple style.
I feel wiim need to get this stereo/surround option nailed and a totally stable stereo multi room option/solution, sonos still seem to be the kings of multi speaker link ups. my old sonos 1s version 1.0 still work perfectly, my switch to wiim was really just on a 'whim' ..
Point is if wiim want people to stay in their ecosystem then it needs to be 'bulletproof' and not require a degree in programming, pi, nas and various other things discussed, or multiple forum visits and tickets to try and resolve what will seem to most a simple problem that shouldnt really exist in their shiny new magic box.
