Just set up new WiiM amp pro - Black Friday deal - all working fine streaming flac from NAS using plex. Happy.
It’s replacing a couple of Sonos play 1s on which I could start and stop play using a nearby Amazon echo “Alexa stop” and music would stop, “Alexa play” and it would carry on playing - very convenient.
I’ve set the WiiM amp up to be the default speaker in the correct Alexa room in the Alexa app but “Alexa stop” does nothing.
Using the WiiM voice remote it’s the same - the volume dips when I press the voice button on the remote - but music continues when button is released.
Asking Alexa to “Play Alison Krauss” works fine - music plays from Amazon music and “Alexa stop” works fine. So looks like it’s a local library thing.
What should be possible?
