A Nooby Amazon Music Question

First off, the Wiim Pro is now at the center of what, for me, is a really good internet music system. Until a few days ago when I got the Pro, I did my Amazon Music Unlimited tunage through my Mac Mini M-1 to a DAC (just upgraded to a Fosi Q6), a recently acquired FosiP4 pre-amp (needed to add a subwoofer), and Kali LP-UNF powered studio speakers (no subwoofer out). When I added the pro, it was like rock and roll heaven in a small system!

Anyway, the only thing I don't like is that Amazon Music is not a native app on the Wiim and the work around does not offer a lot of the functions on Amazon Music on my mac. Is there any chance of getting a native Amazon app or a better work around than is now in place? I don't want to cast from the computer.

Amazon Music does, indeed, show up on the Wiim app and works pretty well. However, it does not offer all the features that the app on my mac does, e.g., lyrics, my full library, recording dates, song writers, etc. I would like my Wiim to afford all of the capabilities of what is on the Amazon Music web site. I should be happy with what I've got, but it could be better.

WiiM is limited to what the Amazon Music API makes available to third parties. Amazon doesn't offer each and every feature through their API, so WiiM can only offer so many features through the WiiM Home App.

Doesn't the Amazon Music app for MacOS support Alexa Cast?

Unfortunately, Amazon Music desktop apps don’t support Alexacast which is usually simply enabled by linking your WiiM Home app to Alexa.

However, if the version of MacOS in use support iOS apps, then perhaps the iOS Amazon Music app will provide a route - however, having said that, there’s something at the back of my mind that suggests that route might be closed off. Probably best using the Amazon music app on an iDevice if that’s the case

There’s seemingly a new Amazon Music interface coming to the WiiM app, but it might still suffer from similar restrictions as the current API
