A visual element

I think it’d be great for WiiM to have a visual element - an ability to output to a display like a TV.

One solution might be the ability to output the app in landscape mode over screen sharing.

Cheers, yes that's quite interesting.

I look forward with great interest to any developments.

The reason I believe this is important. Vinyl/physical media enthusiasts have an affection for being able to open gatefold sleeves, read booklets, etc. fair enough. But digital products can display album covers (including gatefold sleeves) with a far bigger image than a 12” record cover.

I do feel digital streaming across the board is missing a trick here.

I wouldn’t have thought that casting an image from your phone app to your TV display was a massive technological problem.

I use LMS to play tracks from my NAS and from online services like Qobuz as per my post below - guess I could open up a browser on my TV to the same IP address and the full info screen would appear there.

That’s great - I love workarounds and inventiveness.

But you know what? I remember a time when you pressed the button with the triangle pointing to the right, and it played. And you pressed the button with the square and it stopped.

I sometimes think things went downhill when DVD came out and you had to download newer firmware to play the latest releases.

It’d be nice to have great stuff that just worked.

MinimServer and BubbleUPnP can deliver local booklets in pdf form (or anything really if you're creative).

If you have an Android TV or chomecast dongle (or the Apple equivalent) isn't screen casting an option? Whilst casting probably won't be as clean a presentation as it could be, it'd be the only option if you wanted to display booklets (so you could scroll/zoom in e.t.c).

Few other options here too!
