Hi , just received & set up my Wiim mini . All working fine but can't see the mini when I try to connect via Airplay to any of my IOS devices ( iPhone , iPad , MacBook ) Any thoughts ? Cheers

I'm not sure what "All working fine" means. Did you connect the Mini to your Wi-Fi? Are you able to connect to any other service? Is Bluetooth working?

I think you mean "can't see the mini when I try to connect via Airplay from/on any of my IOS devices" and by "all working fine" I think you mean that playing/streaming other services works on the mini so a working wifi (internet) connection is already in place. Is the wifi connection to a static device like a router on a home network or maybe the mini's wifi is connected via one of the i-devices?
Configuring/using the Apple Home app is not necessary for it to appear as an Airplay endpoint, that should just work (does for other users/me) that's "only" a cool way of integrating a WiiM into a smart home setup and to operate it using Siri.

Correct, I have never done this, nor do I feel the need to do it, as I don’t use any voice “assistants” in my home. 🤔

Hi , thank you , you've interpreted my naively worded question very accurately
:)

If I connect via Airplay can I not pair it with other , non Wiim, Airplay devices ?

The WiiM Mini should appear in your list of airplay 2 targets on your iPhone, from where you can select one or more - they don’t all need to be WiiM devices, just Airplay devices.

Edit: note that that doesn’t mean what you play on your WiiM Mini from within the WiiM home app, say radio for example, can be then sent by the Mini over airplay to other non-WiiM airplay devices. The WiiM Mini is only an airplay receiver, not transmitter.

A couple of reboots & pairing( type things ) seem to have sorted stuff . Airplay working , I'm sure I'll be back here soon but thanks
