An easier way to play music from WHA?

To me, the design of the WHA is rather awkward. I‘m assuming that it’s supposed to be used to play music. But it always takes a few taps to even get there. If I had used Minimserver or Plex or whatever the last time I had opened the app, it would be safe to assume that I‘d want to do the same again the next time. So why not automatically return there? If I want to do something else, that would be a few taps away, but most likely I’d want to play music.

The WiiM Home app can be used to play music, but it's main purpose is to set up and configure the WiiM device. This includes managing presets and preferred inputs, of course.

I for one might have listened to Tidal either through the WiiM Home app integration or the Tidal app on my phone or the Tidal app on Windows, but the next day I might switch on the TV and - of course - expect this to take precedences as an input. I might turn on my CD player, connected through optical or press any of the preset buttons on the WiiM Voice Remote. There's certainly no pattern.

What If I had removed the USB storage key since my last listening session? What if other family members did listen to something completely different in the mean time?

I really think it's a matter of personal taste and circumstances. Just to many possibilities to say one is right an everything else is wrong.

Actually some players allow you to specify where you want to start, which can be on the main page or at a particular spot in the program. In this case it could be the main page, a specified streaming service or My Music or Home Music Server. It is a simple setting and should be pretty easy to implement. And, it is puts the starting location in the hands of the users.
