Android Home Music Server (DLNA) Connection to Windows DLNA Sever

Very confusing. I have the feeling that there is a problem with the problem description 😉.

The fact is, if your Windows PC provides a DLNA server by using JRiver and makes it by this available in the same network, it must be independently of each other visible/reachable for all the apps mentioned (WHA, HiFi-Cast, Bubble, UAPP, neutron....) on your phone.

My problem statement is what I observed. I have a DLNA server running under JRiver on the PC. I did not see that server on the Wiim Home app under Home Music Share on my phone. So, as suggested here, I looked for the BubbleUpNP server on my phone. When I opened it, it asked me to Enable it (whatever that did). After doing that I could see the DLNA server on the PC from WHA under Home Media Share on my phone.

I cannot tell you why it did not work originally but does now, but it does work now.

That was suggested as a test not a solution (if BubbleUPnP discovered Jriver then the WHA should too); it's not as though it brings with it shared libraries.
If you don't care then we shouldn't too :)
