Another USB hub question

I tried the search but couldn't find an answer: I'm using the USB port with an attached SSD drive, so can't obviously use the USB out to an external DAC (in my case, a Fiio K11 R2R which allows switching from OS to NOS mode only in USB connection) - would that be possible with a USB hub? Please excuse if this has already been discussed before.

Yes, it works. Many people do this.

Yes. There are several threads pointing that out.

Example in thread 'Nice little USB Hub :)' https://forum.wiimhome.com/threads/nice-little-usb-hub.8100/

Thank you both. As I wrote, my search didn't come up with anything related to my question. Sorry but tx again!

This one doesn't work - the Ultra doesn't recognize it ... I tried every input on the hub.

This one is un-powered and I usually use it on my Macbook (no extra power connection needed). I connected this to the Ultra and then connected the USB stick (actually a small SSD which stores my music files and is usually connected directly to the Ultra), trying all three ports on the hub: not recognized in the WiiM app.

And the SSD work ok when plugged in directly without the hub?

A usb hub is usually a passive component, so it should not matter what one you use.

Yes the SSD is "always on" and works flawless. After removing the hub I re-connected the SSD and it was recognized immediately.

I use a powered hub. no problem. have a 2tb hhd and go usb out of wimm to hub to Schitt Eitr to MHDT DAC no issues except i have to do rescan the music every now and then
