man this one is a peeve of mine. I go to change the input from the screen or show my wife how to change the input while next to unit. You hit the input you want then it prompts "Are you sure". Can that be turned off?

Ultra coming in tomorrow. Please tell me you don't have that stupid confirmation popping up when using remote to change input !? I need a one push input switch.

nah from the remote all is good. We usually are up at the front changing out Minidisc or Vinyl. So we just tap the screen. From the couch and remote "Life is Good". This Ultra is the best thing since sliced bread. My wife even loves how easy it made everything coexist.

Unfortunately, there is no way to turn off that confirmation dialog, please submit a request ticket through the feedback section of the WiiM app.

I made a similar request a few months ago and never got a response about it. Perhaps there is a reason why the dialog should be shown...But it looks inconvenient and unnecessary.

Does the screen still respond to the first touch, even if it is disabled? I didn't check this in a long time. That would be the only reason I see for such a confirmation.

Ideally with the screen blanked out the first touch should do nothing but wake it up. From then on there's really no need for any further confirmation dialogue.

Yes, the Ultra screen is the same as before. If you (long) tap once when the screen is off, the screen recognizes that you have tapped twice.

However,
normally, some source should play after input/output switching. Therefore, if you tap while the screen is off, the playing screen will be displayed and there is (almost) no danger of input/output switching. 🤔😄
