Any way to stop auto switching to TV through HDMI ARC?

As I mentioned earlier, my Hisense TV has two features,
"Sound System Interlocking"
"Preferred Speaker on Power On"
that change behavior depending on how they are turned on and off, so I turned them all off first.

Unfortunately not all TV models have that.

I can confirm that Samsung and LG OLEDs don't offer that option. It's really nice of Hisense to have it.

I have tried to explain this to @WiiM Team for months now.
Yeah I was in the beta too but it didn't do what I wanted so I got off after a month or so.

I think we're a small minority for this one and most HDMI people (and thus support) are focused on having their sound always go to the hi-fi. Meanwhile the rest of my household is getting used to always having the hi-fi on even for super low volume, which is not what I want but I might just have to live with the extra wear and tear for now...

At least it's the only downgrade from replacing my prepro with the Ultra. Many upgrades 👍

I have just got a reply from @WiiM Support that they will start looking at it again.

Let us hope that they understand the issue. I think the solution is simple but let us see.

Have they implemented the change yet? I’m still having to resort to unplugging HDMI Arc for regular TV and then manually connecting it for movies/shows where I want external speakers.
