Yes you do lose it, Google Cast doesn’t support the lossless ALAC format so you get 256kbps lossy AAC just like AirPlay 2.Hi. When I play music from Apple Music using Google Cast, do I lose the quality offered by Apple?
Other than cabling your iOS device directly into your WiiM (which rather takes away the point for me) or investing in a much more expensive streamer like Eversolo or FiiO which use the standard Apple Music app on a modified version of Android, then no.Is there any solution?
There are several options available, but all with some limitations. Is there any solution?
I might expect that to a degree using airplay but not Google Cast as that doesn’t use your phone while casting. Submit a ticket to WiiM via the more/feedback section in the app showing details of battery usage before and after a session so they can inspect your logs for details.Hi!
I've noticed that when I'm streaming music via Google Cast, the iPhone uses a lot of power - the battery drains quickly.
Is this normal? Any solution please... Applications are likie YT, YT Music, music files in the phone memory.
This does not happen if I use the services built into the Wiim app.
Are you actually connected via AirPlay?Hi!
