First, I don’t understand why Optical In and HDMI should be paired in one setting, instead of having two separate equivalent settings for auto sensing, one for each.
I have a CD Transport connected to optical in, for which I don’t mind auto sensing, because when i put on a cd my intention already is to listen to music, so my Adam Audio T8v active speakers will be already on.
On the other hand, it is common that the Samsung TV connected to the wiim ultra is turned on by me or someone else, just to casually watch some content, and while the active speakers are off and the wiim is on stand by mode. Those moments are not intended for hi fi tv sound, and even though there are settings both on the wiim app side and on the tv side, none of the settings or combinations of them stops the wiim ultra form leaving stand by mode every time the tv is turned on.
I know this has been posted before, take my post as a form of insistence on the subject.
