Hello,

My setup is as follow :
- Turntable connectd via Aux-in to Wiim Mini 1
- CD player connected to wiim Mini 2 via Aux-in
- Wiim Amp connected to passive speakers

I'd like to be able to switch easily between source.
for example : Starting a CD would play it on speakers, then starting the turntable would switch automatically to turntable and also, choosing streaming from Spotify or Deezer would stop previous source from playing to switch to Deezer through wiim amp.

I've tried to use groups or "linking" mini and amp, but haven't succeeded yet.

Is this feasible?
1 possible alternative would be through 1-4 buttonsnn the remote : 1 for Turntable, 2 for CD player, 3 for deezer from my phone and 4 for my wife's phone...

thanks a lot for your answers!

In your current setup I can‘t see how this can be done.

But, what are the Minis for? Does your CD player have an optical out? If so you could feed that directly into the Amp. The same goes for the analougue out of your turntable. Hook it up directly to the Amp.
Set the inputs in the Amp to auto-sense and voila.

HI,
this is a bit more complex :)
CD, turntable and speakers are not close together. And I don't want cables all over the room. that's why I opted for 2 mini, with speakers connecter to the amp.
that way, I wished to created one kind of multi-room system, all in the same room.

I see.
You can definitly group all your devices and play from one to the other, but not automated. I‘m afraid you‘ll have to change the group leader manually in the app.

Thanks for your answer!!
Woulld you think of any other setup to do what I expected?
Would you be willing to buy all-new equipment? In this case maybe.
I‘m thinking in the direction of active wireless speakers that use a hub to connect to them using their own network. Such as Inklang, Elac (? not sure) and some others.
But you might run into the same problem in that the speakers will probably only connect to one hub at a time. You would have to ask the manufactures.

Those hubs usually also include a streamer. So you would already have one posion less in the room. If you could then manage to bring the CD player and turntable together you‘re there with just one hub and one connection to the wireless speakers. You would have to ckeck if the respective hub supports auto-sensing of inputs though.

Having said that the same or similar would be possible if only you could bring your CD player and turntable together. Physicslly connected to say an Ultra or Pro you‘d have streaming, CD and vinyl in one position. Grouped with the Amp this would work. The Amp would then really only act as an amp receiving all its input via the group.

yes, I can still return everything and choose something else. Although I love my speakers and would rather not change. moving the CD close to the turntable is an option. this would eliminate 1 mini, which would be probably more simple to handle...

Sorry, I expanded my previous post quite a bit. Please have a look.
