Have a bit of an interesting situation where my Ultra and turntable sit on some shelves. However, my Wiim amp is in a rack in another part of the house (unreliable bluetooth range fwiw). I would like the amp to start playing when the turntable starts (and turns on the ultra). I can group them in the app but would love a way for this to happen automatically whenever I'm playing something on the Ultra (turntable or streaming). Effectively a permanent grouping... without the RCA connector. Is this possible?

The problem is how to detect that the turntable is playing - you get "noise" over the input even when it isn't.

Lots of audio equipment has input detection on digital input side but I can't think of any on analogue input side.

Fair, but turning the Ultra off would have the same effect and would "stop" the noise. If the turntable was off I also don't think there would be any noise going to the ultra. Ideally I'd like it to que the amp if I stream to the ultra too. Effectively I want the Ultra to trigger the Amp whenever it is playing anything - that is would be the default vs. having to go in and select the group every time. I'm trying to take my phone/app out of the equation.
