Bass management

You can define what goes where.

Check the FAQ "Subwoofer Advanced Options: Subwoofer Bypass Mode & Main Speakers Output Bass" available from the WiiM Home App.

And this thread 'Ultra Sub Out / Bass Management query with digital out?' https://forum.wiimhome.com/threads/ultra-sub-out-bass-management-query-with-digital-out.5803/
Thank you! Really appreciate the help. trying to go ultra to geshelliu direct to amp and cut the receiver completely out.; this sounds like it will allow me to do just that...

New member here, investigating the possibilities of the Ultra.

I would be using the Ultra as a DAC and preamp, outputting to a stereo amp and powered subwoofer. My primary input would be the USB port, playing back 96kHz music files stored there.

Can anyone verify whether in that situation, the bass management can be employed without forcing the Ultra to down-sample the 96kHz files to 48kHz? Such down-sampling is common in an AVR when using its bass management, and I want to avoid that.

If the Ultra can do bass management without the down-sampling, I would probably purchase one. Thanks for any feedback you can provide.

Yes. The WiiM do EQ on native sampling rates.

No problem at all, there won't be any downsampling.

If your stereo amp has volume control it must be kept at the same level all the time. Otherwise the balance in output between sub and main speakers would be need to be re-calibrated every time.
