Hi WiiM Community,

We are looking for beta testers to experience our Audio Spectrum option on the WiiM Ultra Now Playing screen feature.

Experience your music visually with the new Audio Spectrum display. Watch real-time frequency bars move with your songs, adding a dynamic visual layer to your listening experience. This feature brings your WiiM Ultra’s screen to life, letting you see the rhythm, feel the energy, and enjoy a more immersive connection with your music.

To try this feature:
1. Update the WiiM Home app to version 3.3.9 or later.
2. Go to Device Settings → Device Info → Join Beta Testing and select Audio Spectrum Display.
3. Then go to Device Settings → Screen → Playback, and choose Spectrum as the playback screen.

Great...
if it now allows wiim to devote time, energy and skills to serious things... good news...

Not quite the same as the example above, but still nice😄
I have raised a ticket about the differences between what is shown on the display using the beta test. I actually prefer what I get, more bands etc.

It looks like the display cuts off at -10 dBFS? Or whatever the scale is? It doesn't look logarithmic.

It's not easy to see the actual value but if it's like the VU meters, it's not correct anyway.

A peak indicator, as in the announcement picture, would be appreciated.

I don't see s way to set the meter mode (input source level or output amplitude), as you can for the VU meters.

This is how it displays at my normal listening level (20%).1000005333.jpg
Not that interesting.

The input level with correct values would be more useful.

Just gave this a quick try....
If all the song and album text was removed,
If the left hand scale then went up to the top so the bars would go further up the screen this would be a good first effort.
Having track details on a screen when I sit 4 metres + from the Ultra is just wasting space to me.
My wife bought me a nice pair of Leica binoculars for my last birthday, I suppose I could use those to read the screen. 😂
