Tidal Bidirectional play sync of Tidal App with Tidal Connect and WiiM home App in Android?

Hi there,
new Ultra user with Tidal and Android smartphone, here.
My question:
The Tidal app is offering some more features I like than the WiiM Home app, so sometimes during a listening session I would like to switch seamlessly from integrated Tidal in the Home App to the real Tidal App.

Case 1: If I start the Tidal app first, I need to play a song before I can select the Ultra as a playback device. This activates Tidal Connect on the Ultra, playing that song. When I open the WiiM Home App after that, I see exactly this song on this song position playing, also in the integrated Tidal in the WiiM Home App. All fine and understood.

Case 2: I open the WiiM Home App first, and start to play a song in the integrated Tidal or by Favorites on the Ultra with the remote control. When I open the Tidal App after that, I see that Tidal Connect to the Ultra is not activated, and any other last song in Tidal is offered to play. Playing this or any song is required to enable Tidal Connect to the Ultra, and this will interupt the previous playback of Tidal Connect on the Ultra.

Am I missing something? Is this a flaw on the WiiM side or at Tidal`?

I think that’s basically how any Connect/cast mechanism works. In the first case, the stream is handed off to the target device, and you can turn off your phone and the stream will continue. In some cases, the control app may release or lose visibility of that connected stream until you reconnect to it to make changes. In the second instance, the WiiM home app is doing the control and the native app knows nothing about that and will start a fresh stream if you connect to the playing device - it can’t grab control away.
