I have bluetooth output problem with syncing audio. I have tried several bluetooth devices and they all have the same issue. I have tried to auto/manual sync the audio via Wiim Home app but it has no effect. It seems that sync audio do not work with bluetooth output.

Have you other Wiim Ultra users faced the same issue and is there any way to solve it?

If Ultra is the parent of the group, I was able to manually sync the Bluetooth speakers (or headphones) connected to Ultra with other WiiM devices. In the case of my earbuds, I had to set the Ultra's sync to +390ms.

However, the syncing of multi-room groups that include Bluetooth output is very unstable and can lose sync when skipping tracks or ungrouping and re-linking. However, if lose sync, I can skip a track and it will sync with the next track.

In any case, perfect synchronization is difficult to achieve. (Maybe this is a Bluetooth issue, I am not sure.)

I suggest you submit a ticket through the feedback section of the WiiM app and ask if this can be improved.

I don’t have multi-room setup. Just one Wiim Ultra device.

According the helpdesk they know that there’s problem with Bluetooth in Wiim Ultra and they recommend to use wired output. 😀

Perhaps separate Bluetooth transmitter could fix the issue?

Are you referring to lip-sync with the TV? Audio sync is for multi-room use. It cannot be used for lip-sync. (It does not reduce audio delay.)

As you say, using the Aptx-LL codec with a Bluetooth transmitter may reduce the delay.

I acquired Floogoo usb dongle. I noticed that when I use it with Macbook Air (M1) there's no lip-sync delay in Youtube. But when I connected Floogoo to Wiim Ultra there's delay. Not as much as via Ultra's bluetooth output but still some delay.

I was wondering if this delay is something that I just cannot fix? Have someone else managed to get wireless headphones lip-sync work with Ultra?
