Subwoofer Output Keeps Turning Off

I have a recurring issue where the subwoofer output on my Wiim Ultra switches itself off. I'm not sure if this issue originates in the Wiim Ultra itself or the iOS app, but both are up-to-date. I'll repeatedly set the toggle switch for "Sub Output" in the Subwoofer menu to "on," then notice a few hours later that there's no audio coming from my subwoofer, check the app, and see that it's once again been switched to "off."

I haven't been able to determine the exact circumstances that lead to this happening -- sometimes I think it's related to switching inputs, but other times I switch inputs with no problems. Other times it seems to be just from playing audio through the system after not having done so in a while.

My subwoofer does have an auto on/off feature, but I can't imagine that could be causing this, right? From searching in the forum it seems like maybe a couple of people have had similar issues, but I haven't found a definitive solution. Any ideas?

The subwoofer toggle in the WiiM app is not affected by the connected subwoofer.

From what you have told, it sounds like there is a issue with the device or the app.

Next time you experience a problem, please submit a ticket via the feedback section of the WiiM app. A device log will be sent to Support Team.

The following troubleshooting tips may also be helpful.

Reboot the Ultra (re-connect the power cable).
Re-installing the WiiM app.
Rebooting the phone.
Factory reset the Ultra.

Is it possible you are using a preset that has subwoofer disabled, then switching to another input, thus leaving if off?
Holy shit, this was it! I *never* would've thought of this -- I set up input presets before I even had my subwoofer connected through the Wiim (I'd previously been running it off my amp), so every time I used one of those presets, they were turning off the subwoofer output (but when I'd switch inputs a different way, either manually, or by auto-sensing, I'd be fine).

THANK YOU! I felt like I was going crazy.
