Can someone help me? Chrome OS Flex

I'm attempting to install Chrome OS Flex on a Windows 10 laptop that's been sitting unused in storage for ages.

But even after three hours, the installation still hasn't finished!

What should I do?
I suspect it's because the PC wasn't connected to the internet..

Would plugging in an Ethernet cable allow the installation to complete? Or would it be safe to force a shutdown now?

I'm going to take a bath now.
I must make a decision before bedtime.

Did you create recovery media before the install ?

Yes, I saved the recovery media to a USB memory stick and booted the PC from the USB. The installation started but has now stopped midway. I shall try connecting the LAN cable for now.

Resolved.

As the installation wouldn't complete even after connecting the LAN cable, I rebooted. Upon doing so, the installation had already finished ..
