Would you all be interested in having some guest stars come to the forums? Like if I could get an AMA with some folks either live or asynchronous?
I painfully rejected 7 spam accounts that were created before we hit 10k, but I considered leaving them to meet my quota. It will be short once @Wiimer canceled his multiple account.
Only if you count the spammers and people no longer with usMember no 10000 joined the forum back in September.
Do people like that exist? Does not computeSure 10k is alot but how many of those number are even active or maybe just sign up and only log in one time and never again.
I've been digging into that too! 10k members is a really great milestone to hit, but from a community health standpoint, you know the sort of thing community managers like me are all about, daily/monthly active users is a more important number. But that's not going to prevent me from celebrating this with you all!Sure 10k is alot but how many of those number are even active or maybe just sign up and only log in one time and never again.
Yeah, those would be more informative stats. Isn’t there an issue with xenforo forums in that they generally don’t allow members to self-delete so you can’t really “leave” the group unless admin do it on request?I've been digging into that too! 10k members is a really great milestone to hit, but from a community health standpoint, you know the sort of thing community managers like me are all about, daily/monthly active users is a more important number. Can you imagine if these 10k are active like @Burnside? We would have tons of alerts by the thousands!I've been digging into that too! 10k members is a really great milestone to hit, but from a community health standpoint, you know the sort of thing community managers like me are all about, daily/monthly active users is a more important number. Don't threaten me with a good time! Can you imagine if these 10k are active like @Burnside? We would have tons of alerts by the thousands!
Fixed! Members can now self-delete if they want to without contacting an admin.Yeah, those would be more informative stats. Isn’t there an issue with xenforo forums in that they generally don’t allow members to self-delete so you can’t really “leave” the group unless admin do it on request?
I would have thought that with GDPR and any equivalents elsewhere would have mandated that users can unsubscribe or leave if they decide the forum isn’t what they thought it might be. I know content deletion is another matter, but it seems that the xenforo developers are very reticent to allow users the freedom to do that too never mind just unsubscribe - their software seems like Hotel California, you can check-out but you can never leave
@Wiimer are you with me? Then create a new one so it will say new member. Same wine different bottle.Fixed! Members can now self-delete if they want to without contacting an admin.
