Hi,

I have a weird issue. Today I was playing music from Spotify to a Chromecast speaker group with one Wiim Amp and two other Chromecast-compatible speakers, the three were playing music at the same time smoothly until I left home with my smartphone, when arriving home again, the speaker group wasn´t working anymore. When casting to the group, only the other two Chromecast-compatible speakers were reproducing music, while the Wiim Amp wasn´t. I also noticed that I could cast music directly to the Wiim Amp alone, but not when casting to the entire group.

What I did, but couldn´t solve the issue:
- Restarting my router and rebooting the Wiim Amp by unplugging it from the power outlet.
- Dissolving the speaker group and recreating it.
- Restoring the Wiim Amp to the factory settings.

Has someone experienced the same issue?

Hi,

I checked and found the same problem on my devices.

So I re-installed the Spotify app and the Google home app.

Next, I re-created the group in the Google home app. After a while, the group appeared in the Spotify app and when I connected to it, it played on all devices in the group.

Please try this.

This is weird. Was the music still playing when leaving home? @Wiimer, what exactly did you do to recreate the scenario?

Did the Google Home app still show the WiiM Amp as part of a group and assigned to a home and a room?

In my case, when I connected to already created group (Ultra, Pro, Google speaker) from the Spotify app, no sound came out from Ultra.

I also tried different group (Ultra, Pro, Amp, Google speaker), but for some reason only the Pro and Google speakers produced sound.

In hindsight, this may be due to the fact that Ultra and Amp belonged to several groups.

I edited the groups in the Google home app, but this was not reflected and the behaviour was not correct, so I reinstalled them.
