...like the title suggest. If you own a pair of Sony XM-4 headphones, then please continue reading:

Please try pairing the WiiM Ultra to your XM-4 headphones and listen to multiple sources (wifi streaming, CD, vinyl, etc.) Please try to listen to at least 10-20 songs and sit from 10ft to about 15ft from the Ultra. Try pausing tracks, advancing tracks moving output from BT to say your speakers/wired headphones and then back to BT XM-4.

Please report any streaming quality issues.

Thank you,
Roy

Why a clickbait title? You could have easily mentioned the XM-4 ...

Not trying to be an audiophile snob: if you like em, that's great. I have the Jabra 65t, and I like them for some use cases, so nothing wrong with some bluetooth. However, because you're using them with the WIIM, you're probably sitting down and intently listening, right? If you ever think about upgrading, I upgraded to a cheaper headphone that sounds WAY better imo: AKG K371. Yes, it's wired, but I had been using the XM-4 wired too. You can get a 3.5mm extension cable if it's a distance. I also got the koss kph30i, and even they sound far better imho. All just my opinion ofc. The noise canceling on the XM-4 was incredible

Last night I used an EQ headphone database from here: https://www.reddit.com/r/oratory1990/wiki/index/list_of_presets/ on my Sennheiser HD58X open back wired headphones. When I want to lay vertical and relax while I listen this IS my go-to method. But there are occasions I can listen to speakers while I work at my desk and in those situations (too far for a headphone cord) I prefer to listen via BT.

Right now I'm actually considering a much lower cost option over the XM-4's that are proven to flat-out not work with the Ultra over BT and they are the Soundcore Life Q30 by Anker

I need to solicit if anyone has used these with the Ultra w/o issue.

Thank you,
Roy

Ohhhh ok, I had just assumed the XM-4 were your main headphones and was gonna try to persuade you to get a decent pair, but if you're using open back Sennheisers, you've already got good taste lol.
I haven't tried the bluetooth output of the WIIM, but I'll test out my Qudelix 5K with it when I get home.
