There is only one way to control Wiim Mini using a tablet/Phone.
Sonos and other streamer do full support through the PC and MAC.
Please do we know when all the support will be added. Right now I am able to hear music only using Tidal connect.

Assuming ppl always would be changing tracks using phon/tablets was not a good assumption to begin with.
Please let me know wats the roadMap for the PC Wiim Home App.

The Sonos apps for PC and MAC (are they still even available?) have always been very limited compared to their phone apps.

WiiM has beta apps for Windoze and Mac https://wiimhome.com/App.html

Where can I add music services liek Tidal.Spotify, Qobuz in the PC App? Please can somebody help??

You can't as far as I can tell. I use Amazon unlimited. I use the Amazon music desktop app to create Playlist, then use my phone to interact with Wiim home, that's where all the services are. The PC wiim app appears to do display and not a lot more. I presume development is ongoing, I sent a support query but no reply? Right now I find it pretty convoluted, I feel your pain

I am shocked seriously...Bluesound and Sonos can support all major services including Apple music from the PC /Mac app. This is really disappointing ......Please can the admins include the service integration in coming months/quarter....I am not sure if I can recommend this to anybody......

The vast majority of users prefer using their phones or 3rd party apps like LMS to control the WiiM, so it's unlikely they'll put a lot of bandwidth into further development of the desktop apps anytime soon.

Meanwhile, why not try LMS? With the Material Skin, it's a modern UI that runs on anything that supports a browser, and can control the WiiM devices via UPnP.

Sorry but LMS is not running the tidal/Qobuz plugins correctly ...why should I deoend on third party when the competitors r providing proper support....I think I am done with wiim...will move to Bluesound or Sonos!!!

Thx for this, can you share how to setup a WiiM Pro and LMS?

Try using the Android app under the Windows Subsystem for Android. Thé WiiM devices are relatively new and in my opinion are correctly focussing on mobile apps. If there’s enough interest, they may enhance their desktop offering.

If he's anything like me, in Canada, the wiim home app for android subsystem is not available. It's a dead end I didn't expect. Perhaps we could get this on the amazon.ca store?

You will need to install LMS somewhere on your network - Windows, Mac, Linux, Docker, Pi - and point it at your music files.

Download latest stable release from here - https://www.mysqueezebox.com/download -
or development version from here - https://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=8.4

Once installed you will need to add the following plugins for basic local file playback

Material skin - latest HTML5 control skin (works with any HMTL5 compliant browser - use on iOS for example by opening http://ipaddress-of-lms-device:9000/material in Safari and do "Add to Home Screen")
UPnP/DLNA Bridge - this makes WiiM device into a native LMS endpoint (almost) - install the plugin, select correct binary for your system, start the bridge, config file gets generated which should include WiiM, stop bridge, edit config entry for WiiM so that Max Sample Rate matches your DAC, restart bridge.

Later add plugins as required
Music & Artist Information (MAI) - adds lyrics, bios and reviews
Qobuz / Spotty / Tidal / Deezer - intergrates your online music libarry with your local library
Radio Paradise - Flac interactive versions of all 4 channels with full metadata
BBC Sounds
Radio Now Playing
- adds metadata to Internet Radio that doesn't usually carry it

@d6jg TY! Set everything up this morning, running LMS in Docker and works well.

At the moment I am using MinimServer.

Do you think I could have a better experience with LMS ?

Why?

I am going to answer that with "probably" but it depends on your listening habits, the quality of your system and a number of other factors.

UPnP is a badly controlled protocol and by that I mean one manufacturers implementation is different to anothers and that causes major issues for people like WiiM where they should code for as many different variants as possible but clearly that is a difficult exercise.

LMS, like Roon, has its own protocol and native LMS players just work as a result. People who code for LMS know exactly what they are dealing with. A working LMS server controlled by Material on whatever device you choose to run it on is a very rewarding experience - playlist or queue control is simplistics with everything working from one interface.
LMS is like Roon only much much cheaper and arguably better in some respects.
The current problem for LMS users is lack of native players. Logitech stopped manufacture years ago but recently a few alternative have sprung up.
Raspberry Pi coupled with piCorePlayer and something called DAC32 and DIGI32 from Polyvection. Both have run into supply issues.

But there are 3 plugins which convert other hardware into LMS endpoints.
There is an Airplay Bridge (Airplay 1) and a Chromecast Bridge which convert the associated hardware into full LMS players but with a couple of caveats.
The third bridge plugin is UPnP/DLNA Bridge plugin. Using WiiM with LMS (currently) requires this plugin. This is a clever piece of software which polls for UPnP players on the network and then creates a "virtual LMS player" for them. The degree to which it works depends on the implementation of UPnP as delivered by the device manufacturer.
I have been testing a WiiM Mini with LMS for some months but I can't get hold of a Pro at present.
The Mini works very well with version 2.1.19 of the bridge in what is called passthrough mode - everything gets sent to the WiiM unmodified - but if that doesn't work you can fallback to a transcoded "flow" mode. The flow mode converts everything to a single continuous stream which is sent to the device at the cost of 1. a single constant bitrate and 2. loss of metadata inside the WiiM Home App (2. is really irrelevant as you would be controlling via Material which still has full metadata).
That said I have other UPnP devices that will only work in Flow mode.

In terms of UI and features available LMS/Material wins hands down.

EDIT
LMS will not do Amazon or Apple Music but it does everything else that the WiiM app does (better).

By way of example of what LMS can do that WiiM Home App can't.

I am currently listening to a 16/44.1 CD Rip of Blondie's No Exit. Prior to that I was playing a Peter Gabriel album. While I was typing the above the playlist got to the penultimate track in the Blondie album and as I hadn't added anything manually LMS automatically added 5 further tracks to the playlist using LastMix/Don't Stop The Music. The 5 tracks are a mix from my local library and from Qobuz including tracks from Billy Idol, Iggy Pop, Falco, Alison Moyet plus one by an artist I haven't heard (No Doubt) of but I am sure they will be relevant to the previous playlist.
LMS will carry on adding 5 tracks at a time until I tell it otherwise.

The gold standard of UPnP is MinimServer (or AssetUPnP) with the BubbleUPnP control point and BubbleUPnP server (to hold the playback queue), LMS can't get anywhere near the stability or customisation available.
If you're just using the free version of MinimServer then I don't think it'll be much worse, it really comes down to what else you're going to use LMS for.

I've just received the PRO and have been playing to a group of a PRO and a mini with the queue held on BubbleUPnP Server for the last couple of hours and they haven't missed a beat, I'm amazed, I never thought I'd see multiroom playback through UPnP be so slick.

That is not true.
LMS is a very very stable piece of software and has plugins that will do 100s of things - most which I don't use but some I do.

I would agree that BubbleUPnP is very good and I would give that a "gold standard" for UPnP but I have yet to find any UPnP server that comes close to what LMS does and I have tried most.

It is the queue management of LMS/Material and the cross platform nature that beats all of its rivals IMHO. Material is the same on iOS, Android, Windows, Mac or Linux. Unfortunately BubbleUPnP as a control point doesn't have a Windows, Mac, Linux or iOS client to my knowledge.

PS I forgot to mention LMS's multi room playback. Probably because it has been there for 15 years or more.

AFAIK, BubbleUPnP only runs on Android. That's hardly a "gold standard". The Material Skin runs in a browser, so will run pretty much anywhere, from my iPhone to my Chromebook.
