Does Vibelink amp stays always on? For connection with TV

My use case, i will turn off the mains power every night, and only turn it on again when we want to watch TV.

So i heard Vibelink has a great hardware with a great DAC.

So i want to use my TV Optical out to Vibelink.

My only concern if i need to manually turn on Vibelink or does the VL operates the same as WAU, when i turn on the mains, WAU is powered on itself.

Even after removing the power it will remain on whichever input was active (optical in your case) when powered on again, and will auto detect the optical signal and wake up.

However, your biggest concern should be that normally tv optical output volume isn't controlled by the tv volume so in this case the vibelink's volume can only be changed by its physical volume knob.
