I’d like to be able to select more than just four preset favourites from the remote.

Whether this can be done from the existing remote ie a next button that selects 5th, 6th , 7th favourite preset etc or maybe a whole new enhanced remote product that has more features like this than the basic existing remote.

I find having to go to the Wiim app on my phone and click through to the relevant page a bit of chore . Personally I prefer a dedicated device. Thanks

Double-clicking Preset Button 1 activates Preset 5. Similarly, 2>6, 3>7, and 4>8 correspond. Presets 1 to 8 can be selected.

Yes, the original Voice Remote does support the double click function.

A firmware update for the remote itself was needed to enable this feature. If you buy the original WiiM Voice Remote brand new, it might still come with the previous firmware. Once you pair it with a WiiM device, the new version should be pushed with no user interaction required, but it could take a couple of minutes.

Once a remote is paired to the WiiM device you can check its software version in the device settings under Remote -> Remote Settings -> Version.
