Streaming music from my Synology NAS is going well. Different kind of formats are handled all right. But the FLAC files are displayed in an ugly way. I see a text scrolling displaying number, title.flac, album, artist. A second row shows album and artist the same way as with other formats.

Ripping cd's to flac with Anyburn or Windows Player makes no difference. In Tagscanner there is nothing strange to see.

Anyone a clue?

It doesn't matter how you rip the files (as long as you're using a ripper that supports AccurateRip/CTDB) as long as Tag&Scanner is producing compliant tags.

So this only affects FLAC files, and the problem is visible throughout the WiiM Home App (WHA) i.e. track listings, Now Playing, Queue etc?

I can't imagine how it could be the WHA at fault, but to double check try browsing your server with another control point e.g. BubbleUPnP on Android or mconnect lite on iOS.

What media server are you using? MinimServer is generally recommended.

Thanks Simbun. Yes, it only effects FLAC files. I use Mediaserver on the Synology NAS, and I looked again into it. I changed the display in nr + title. Now it's much better but still different. At Now Playing all files show only the title (which is nice) but FLAC files show nr + title + .flac

If I configure Mediaserver with only title, there is no track number in Now Playing but viewing the album all track numbers are gone. So for now I keep nr + title.

I am not really a techno phobe and I use a Synology NAS to run my music stream. I just select the music from the folder list and all the files are flac which display correctly in the app. I use Synology Audio Station to manage playlists and have zero issues.

The WHA displays TrackNumber + Title in album listings and only Title on the Now Playing screen (first line), so, assuming your FLAC files aren't to blame, this sounds like a Media Server issue to me, though I don't have a Synology to test with.
