I have main system- which is modest, but I love. I am slowly upgrading it, one to two pieces a year. I also have a secondary system made up of leftovers from past systems. My main system is the Wiim Amp ultra, a pair of Neumi BS5, and a very budget sub. The secondary system is a Sony Str DH190, a Stanton turntable, and a pair of beefy but budget powered speakers. This is a separate system strictly for playing vinyl. However, the Sony is strictly being used as a phono preamp, and the volume knob is on the back of the powered speakers (VERY inconvenient). I recently bought a Wiim Pro Plus for this to use as a hub for volume control as well as its other functionality. After setting it up- just in whim
- I decided to link both the systems in multi-room (both systems are on opposite sides of the bedroom). What I achieved (STRICTLY FOR VINYL LISTENING) actually sounded better than each system separately. I have one system set strictly as the left channel, and one strictly as the right channel, with specific EQs for both when linked for this purpose. Very full sounding and fun. I won’t listen to vinyl on one of these systems alone after this. That’s it! Let the questions and hate come
