HDMI Question

I was wondering if there is a way to connect a WIIM Ultra to a WIIM amp pro using the HDMI. I have googled this and it says it can be done, but I cannot find anywhere the correct procedure to do so. Can this be done? If so, how? TIA!

No. And what would be the purpose?
HDMI ARC is input only on WiiM devices.

You can connect the devices "phycically" via optical or analog cables. Or link them (via network) using the multiroom features of WiiM.

No, as above, the HDMI socket on WiiM devices is an HDMI ARC input connection to accept audio from a TV solution can’t be used as you describe, so Google (or its useless AI search ) is mistaken.

Also, why would you want to connect your Ultra to an Amp Pro in this manner? I can only imagine it’s for the amplification of the phono input on the Ultra as that apart, the two units are virtually identical in terms of components and features.

No, as above. Neither of those devices has the ability to output anything through HDMI.

What would you expect this setup to do if it did work? What do you want to achieve?
